1.3 All deposits are strictly non-refundable, except where required by applicable consumer law.

1.4 If you booked in-clinic and did not pay a booking fee, a £55 fee will be charged in case of a no-show or late cancellation.

2. Consultation Fees

2.2 The consultation fee reflects the clinician’s time, medical assessment, and professional advice, including evaluation of your suitability for treatment.

2.3 A consultation does not guarantee that treatment will be performed.

3. Medical Assessment & Cooling-Off Period (Injectables)

3.1 In accordance with UK best practice and patient safety guidelines, all patients undergoing injectable treatments (including botulinum toxin and dermal fillers) must undergo a full medical consultation prior to treatment that included into your treatment appointment.

3.2 A mandatory cooling-off period may be required between consultation and treatment, particularly for new patients or where clinically indicated. Treatment may be delayed at the practitioner’s discretion in the interest of patient safety.

3.3 The practitioner reserves the right to decline or postpone treatment if it is deemed not clinically appropriate or in the patient’s best interests. In such cases, consultation fees remain payable.

5. Late Arrivals

5.1 Clients must arrive on time for their appointment.

5.2 Arrival more than 5 minutes late may result in the appointment being cancelled where there is insufficient time to safely complete the treatment.

5.3 In such circumstances, the appointment will be treated as a late cancellation and the deposit will be retained.

6. Failure to Reschedule

6.1 Where an appointment is cancelled without a request to reschedule, the deposit remains non-refundable.

6.2 Transfer of deposits is strictly at the discretion of the clinic.

8.1 The clinic reserves the right to refuse or discontinue treatment at any time where it is considered unsafe, inappropriate, or not in the patient’s best medical interests.

8.2 In such cases, any fees paid for consultations or deposits are non-refundable.

9. Treatment Suitability and Fees

9.1 Where a client attends an appointment and treatment is not carried out for any reason, the booking fee will be retained in full in consideration of the practitioner’s time, clinical expertise, and professional services provided.

9.2 This includes, but is not limited to, circumstances where treatment is deemed unsuitable, inappropriate, contraindicated, or not in the patient’s best medical interests, as determined solely by the practitioner.

9.3 The decision not to proceed with treatment rests entirely with the practitioner and is final.

9.4 Under no circumstances will the booking fee be refunded where an appointment has been attended, regardless of whether treatment is performed.

9.5 Strict Age Limit: The Clinic does not provide non-surgical cosmetic or aesthetic treatments (including, but not limited to, botulinum toxin, dermal fillers, and skin boosters) to any individual under the age of 18.

9.6 Clinical & Ethical Basis: As a GMC-registered medical practitioner, the Clinical Director operates under strict ethical guidelines. Treatments will not be administered to minors for purely cosmetic purposes due to considerations surrounding physiological and psychological maturity.

9.7 Age Verification: The Clinic operates a strict Challenge 25 policy. If you appear under the age of 25, you will be required to present valid, government-issued photographic identification (such as a valid Passport or UK/ROI Photocard Driving Licence) at your appointment.

9.8 Failure to Provide ID: If valid identification cannot be provided upon request, the appointment will be cancelled immediately. In such circumstances, any booking fee or deposit paid will be forfeited to cover the allocated clinical time

10. Consent to Treatment

10.1 No treatment will be undertaken without the prior completion and signing of a valid consent form.

10.2 By signing the consent form, you confirm that you have been provided with sufficient information in a clear and comprehensible manner regarding the nature, purpose, anticipated benefits, material risks, potential complications, and available alternatives to the proposed treatment.

10.3 You confirm that you have had the opportunity to ask questions, that these have been answered to your satisfaction, and that you have made an informed decision to proceed.

10.4 You acknowledge that all medical and aesthetic procedures carry inherent and, in some cases, unpredictable risks, and that outcomes may vary between individuals.

10.5 No representation, warranty, or guarantee has been made as to the outcome or effectiveness of any treatment, and no specific results can be assured.

10.6 The practitioner reserves the right to withdraw or withhold treatment at any stage where it is considered clinically inappropriate or not in the patient’s best interests.

10.7 By signing the consent form, you confirm that you understand and accept the risks involved and agree to proceed with the treatment at your own informed discretion.

11. Complications and Adverse Outcomes

11.1 All aesthetic treatments carry recognised risks and potential complications. Whilst adverse outcomes are uncommon, they cannot be entirely eliminated. Individual risk may vary depending on medical history, anatomy, lifestyle factors, and other clinical considerations.

11.2 Prior to treatment, patients will be provided with clear, accurate, and sufficient information regarding material risks, potential complications, and expected outcomes, in line with informed consent principles set out by the General Medical Council and Joint Council for Cosmetic Practitioners.

11.3 The clinic will ensure appropriate arrangements are in place for the identification, management, and follow-up of complications. Patients will be provided with aftercare advice and access to clinical support where reasonably required.

11.4 Patients are expected to follow all aftercare instructions and to seek prompt review where concerns arise. Failure to do so may compromise outcomes and limit the clinic’s ability to provide appropriate care.

11.5 Where clinical review is necessary, patients may be required to attend the clinic for assessment. In cases of urgency, patients will be advised appropriately, including referral to emergency or NHS services where clinically indicated.

11.6 In the event of a complication requiring treatment beyond the scope of the clinic, referral pathways to appropriate healthcare providers, including the NHS, will be utilised. Patients may also elect to seek private treatment at their own expense.

11.7 The clinic maintains appropriate professional indemnity arrangements; however, it accepts no responsibility for the costs of treatment provided by third-party services. Patients are advised that private medical insurance may not cover complications arising from elective cosmetic procedures.
11.8 Review and Additional Product Policy

The fee paid for dermal filler treatment covers the consultation, assessment, procedure, and the quantity of product used during the initial appointment only.

A review appointment may be offered within 2–4 weeks following treatment, where clinically appropriate. Review appointments are intended to assess treatment outcome, healing, and symmetry.

Due to individual anatomical differences, metabolism, tissue response, and product integration, aesthetic outcomes and longevity cannot be guaranteed.

Where additional dermal filler product is requested by the Client or deemed clinically appropriate by the Practitioner following review, this shall constitute an additional treatment and will be charged accordingly at the Clinic’s current rates.

Complimentary “top-ups” are not guaranteed and remain solely at the discretion of the Practitioner. The Practitioner reserves the right to decline further treatment where it is not considered clinically indicated or in the Client’s best interests.

For patient safety and infection control reasons, opened dermal filler syringes cannot be stored or reused at future appointments unless specifically permitted by manufacturer guidance and applicable regulatory standards.

12. Limitation of Liability

12.1 The Dr Kateryna Skin & Aesthetics clinic will provide all treatments with reasonable skill, care, and in accordance with accepted clinical standards.

12.2 To the fullest extent permitted by law, the clinic shall not be liable for any loss, damage, or adverse outcome arising from:

  individual variation in treatment response or healing;

  risks and complications that have been appropriately explained as part of the consent process;

  failure by the patient to follow pre- or post-treatment instructions;

  incomplete, inaccurate, or misleading medical history provided by the patient;

  delays in seeking medical advice or failure to attend recommended follow-up appointments.

12.3 Nothing in this policy excludes or limits liability for death or personal injury resulting from negligence, fraud, or any other liability which cannot be excluded under applicable law.

12.4 Clients must not bring children under 18 years unless accompanied by a responsible adult who can care for them during the appointment.

12.5 The clinic shall not be liable for any indirect, consequential, or financial losses, including but not limited to loss of earnings, reputational damage, or dissatisfaction with aesthetic outcome.

12.6. All treatments, offers, and products are subject to availability.

12.7 The clinic accepts no responsibility for treatment, advice, or services provided by third parties.

Aftercare and Patient Responsibility

13.1 Patients will be provided with appropriate aftercare advice following treatment, including verbal and/or written instructions.

13.2 It is the patient’s responsibility to fully understand and adhere to all aftercare guidance provided. Failure to follow aftercare instructions may increase the risk of complications and may adversely affect treatment outcomes.

13.3 The clinic shall not be held liable for any adverse outcomes, complications, or suboptimal results arising from failure to comply with aftercare advice.

13.4 Patients are responsible for promptly contacting the clinic if they experience any concerns, unexpected side effects, or complications following treatment.

13.5 Where a review appointment or follow-up is recommended, patients are expected to attend as advised. Failure to do so may limit the clinic’s ability to provide appropriate care and may affect clinical outcomes.

13.6 Patients are responsible for seeking urgent medical attention where necessary, including attendance at emergency services, where symptoms are severe or require immediate care.

14. Complaints Procedure

14.1 The clinic is committed to providing a high standard of care and service. If you are dissatisfied with any aspect of your experience, we encourage you to raise your concerns as soon as possible.

14.2 Complaints should be submitted in writing via email to dr.kateryna@outlook.com, including full details of the concern and any relevant information. Complaints will not be monitored or addressed via social media.

14.3 We will acknowledge receipt of your complaint within a reasonable timeframe and aim to investigate and respond in full within 7 working days. Where further time is required, you will be informed accordingly.

14.4 The clinic will conduct a fair, confidential, and thorough review of all complaints, and will provide a clear outcome, including any appropriate explanations or actions.

14.5 Where appropriate, patients may be invited to attend a follow-up consultation to review concerns in a clinical setting.

14.6 If a gesture of goodwill is offered, a signed agreement must be completed and witnessed in-clinic. After this, your care will be discharged from Dr Kateryna Skin & Aesthetics.

Booking coordinators cannot give medical advice—questions must be addressed in the clinic.

Thank you for trusting us with your care. We look forward to welcoming you to the clinic.
